Brief

Magalix was a cloud-native security and optimization platform for managing and securing cloud-native applications, containers, and Kubernetes clusters. It used machine learning and AI-driven analytics for policy-based enforcement, real-time monitoring, and actionable insights.

DevOps, DevSecOps and security teams across industries used it to get more visibility, security and efficiency in their cloud-native deployments. It integrated with the popular cloud providers and supported Kubernetes and containerized environments.

I helped Magalix improve the usability of its SaaS platform, which led to the company being acquired by Weaveworks.

My main impact

1. Strategy and design system

Built the strategy plan for product design and the design system.

2. Platform usability

Improved the platform’s usability by testing and revamping its dashboards.

3. New features

Designed new features that added value for the user: reports, creation wizards and dashboards.

Takeaway

Improving Magalix’s usability and then watching Weaveworks acquire it taught me how much user-centric design drives business success. A seamless experience raises a product’s value and gets the attention of investors and acquirers.

I also learned how to work with cross-functional teams around the world, and that continuous user feedback is essential for a product with growth potential.
